This recognition celebrates not just visual execution, but the depth of concept, storytelling, and restraint behind the identity - values that sit at the core of how we approach branding at Hypnotica.

About the WBDS
The World Brand Design Society (WBDS) is a global platform that celebrates excellence in brand identity and visual communication. Through its annual awards programs, WBDS highlights innovative and impactful design work from studios, agencies, and creatives around the world, evaluated by an international panel of industry experts.
About the Project
Meduzza is a progressive lounge bar offering guests a richly layered sensory journey through refined mixology, curated hookah rituals, and an atmosphere where elegance meets mystique. More than a destination, Meduzza was envisioned as an immersive escape - a space designed to slow time, stimulate the senses, and invite indulgence in both form and feeling.
The brief called for a complete brand identity that could balance contrasts: fluid yet structured, luxurious yet grounded, mysterious yet welcoming.

Concept & Creative Direction
Our creative direction drew inspiration from the medusa jellyfish - a marine creature symbolic of elegance, rhythm, and silent power. This concept became the cornerstone of the brand narrative and visual system.
The logotype and emblem were built with geometric precision and rendered in muted gold tones, echoing both the jellyfish’s form and the architectural rhythm of the space. The core color palette centers on a deep oceanic green - evocative of depth, moonlit water, and rich interior velvet - balanced with soft neutrals and subtle metallic accents for versatility across applications.
Typography plays a key role in this tension. A high-contrast serif brings a sense of classic luxury, while a modern sans-serif introduces clarity and balance, creating harmony between old-world elegance and contemporary design.
Building a Living Visual System
The identity extends far beyond the logo. We developed a comprehensive visual language applied across menus, print collateral, coasters, glassware, interior signage, and social assets.
Custom patterns inspired by the flowing morphology of jellyfish and underwater textures introduce movement and atmosphere without overwhelming the content. These details were designed to reveal themselves gradually — allowing guests to discover something new with each interaction.
Every touchpoint was approached with restraint and intention. The system needed to perform in low-light environments, across textured surfaces, and in high-contrast conditions — whether expressed through embossed foil, etched glass, or digital motion. Scalability and longevity were built into the identity from the start, ensuring it could evolve alongside Meduzza’s future offerings without losing coherence.

Why This Award Matters
Winning Bronze at the WBDS Agency Design Awards is a meaningful milestone for us. It recognizes not only the final aesthetic, but the strategic thinking, conceptual depth, and disciplined execution behind the work.
Meduzza stands as an example of how brand identity can go beyond visuals - becoming an emotional, cinematic experience that bridges brand and environment.
We’re incredibly proud of this project and grateful to the WBDS judges for the recognition.
